Open Positions

We are seeking native or bilingual French speakers who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken French
  • A teaching degree and/or experience in the education field
  • Ability to lead interactive, playful, differentiated lessons
  • Comfort teaching francophone and anglophone children ages 5 to 17
  • A passion for sharing French and Francophone cultures
  • Ability to manage a group of children
  • Team player
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Teach French in full immersion
  • Lead projects, hands-on activities, and culturally rich lessons
  • Support reading, writing, and oral expression
  • Collaborate with coordinators and the Education Director
  • Implement and adapt the curriculum to meet students’ needs
  • Maintain a warm, structured learning environment

Schedule & Dates

  • Part-time, weekday afternoons
  • Mid-September through late June (aligned with the NYC public school year)

Ideal for native French speakers who enjoy working with young children.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken French
  • Strong rapport with young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers
  • Comfortable leading small groups independently
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Support classroom management and transitions
  • Lead small-group activities
  • Assist with learning
  • Uphold EFNY’s French-only classroom policy
