20+ years supporting French language in NYC schools

13 partner schools across Manhattan and Brooklyn

700+ students learning French each year

100% non-profit, with 50+ educators
EFNY was founded by a group of French-speaking parents who wanted to ensure their children could learn, preserve, and celebrate their language and culture—right here in New York.
Today, the organization brings together families, teachers, and schools to make French accessible to every student in NYC who wants to learn.

Learning French is not only an academic asset but also a passport to the world, where 225 million French speakers live across more than 50 nations.
As a proud member of FLAM USA and FLAM Monde, EFNY is part of an international network dedicated to promoting French language and culture for children living outside of France.
EFNY also collaborates with partners such as the Délégation Générale du Québec à New York, the Agence pour l’enseignement du français à l’étranger, Kiwiversity, Savio and Lireka.
These connections help ensure our programs remain culturally rich, academically rigorous, and aligned with global standards for French language education.
